Privacy Policy

Agadir Travel · Agadir, Morocco

Read this part first

  • We collect only what the contact form, your search and basic traffic analytics need, nothing more.
  • Sending your search to the Moroccan supplier counts as a transfer of data outside the EEA, and we cover it with contractual safeguards.
  • There is no phone line. Every privacy request and our answer happen in writing.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold on you, at any time.

Who controls your data

For what this website itself collects, such as a message through the contact form, the controller is Agadir Travel, operating agadirrentacar.com. For the rental you go on to book, the controller is the supplier whose car you reserved; they decide how long to keep the rental agreement and the licence details they recorded, under their own notice. We never take over that role, and we cannot answer on a supplier's behalf for data they hold about you.

We apply the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to the personal data we collect here because this site is aimed at, and used by, travellers from the EU and the UK, whatever country the booking is eventually fulfilled in.

What we collect, and why

Personal data reaches this site from three places only, and from nowhere else.

Source What it is Why we use it Lawful basis
The contact form Your name, email, and whatever you type into the message box. Replying to your question. Legitimate interest, and taking steps towards a contract once you ask about a booking
Your search Pickup dates, location and the filters you choose. Sent live to the supplier so it can quote real availability. Necessary to perform the service you asked for
Visit analytics Aggregate traffic, pages viewed, rough country of origin. Seeing which pages are actually useful. Legitimate interest, kept to aggregate figures only

We do not knowingly collect anything beyond what the table above lists. We never ask for a card number through this site, and we do not build a profile of returning visitors.

Who sees it

Your search parameters, and any booking request you send, go to the supplier whose car you are asking about. That is unavoidable if you want a real quote or a confirmed rental. A short list of processors working only on our instructions, our hosting provider and our email delivery service, may see data in transit but have no right to use it for their own purposes.

We do not sell personal data, and we never pass your details to a supplier you have not chosen yourself on the search grid.

How long we keep it, and where it goes

A contact-form message is kept long enough to answer it and a short while afterwards in case the thread reopens, then deleted. Search parameters passed to a supplier are not stored by us once your results are back in your browser; any copy that lingers there is the local cache described in the Cookie Policy, and it clears itself.

Because the car you are comparing is supplied by a company operating in Morocco, sending your search or booking details to them moves personal data outside the European Economic Area. Morocco is not part of the EEA, unlike the Spain and Portugal routes this network also runs. We cover that move with contractual data-protection safeguards of the kind the GDPR calls Standard Contractual Clauses, which bind the supplier to protect your data to a comparable standard wherever they are based.

Morocco has its own data protection authority, the Commission Nationale de contrôle de la protection des Données à caractère Personnel (CNDP), which oversees how data is handled once it reaches a company based there.

Your rights under the GDPR

You can ask us at any time to:

Access See what personal data we hold about you.
Rectification Have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
Erasure Ask us to delete data we no longer need.
Restriction Ask us to pause processing while a query is sorted out.
Portability Receive the data you gave us in a reusable format.
Objection Object to processing based on our legitimate interest.
Withdraw consent Withdraw a consent you gave us, at any time.
Complain Contact the authority in your own country, or the CNDP for a Morocco-side concern.

These rights apply whether you live inside the EU and the UK or anywhere else; if your own country has its own data protection law, that law may give you additional routes alongside the ones listed here.

Contact and changes

We update this page when our practices or the law change. Whichever version is live at the moment you use the site is the one that governs, so if a while has gone by since your last visit, read it again. This website is built for adults planning a car rental and is not directed at children; if you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will remove it.

For any question about this policy, or to use one of the rights above, email [email protected]. There is no phone line and no account, so a short email describing what you want is the whole process.

Two companion pages apply alongside this one: the Terms and Conditions and the Cookie Policy.
